Allyn Kahn

The award winning Mentagy Puzzle was invented by Allyn Kahn, M.A., a philosophy and mathematics professor. Allyn also coaches chess in after school and home school programs, and is director of the Suncoast Chess Camp. Originally developed to help his chess students, it was soon discovered that Mentagy™ puzzles has a much wider audience. People of all ages, children, adults, and seniors, enjoy doing the puzzle.

Allyn and his wife Patti live on the West Coast of Florida, near many beautiful beaches. Besides playing chess and constructing puzzles, he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking and swimming, as well as playing jazz trumpet.
