Mike Selinker

Mike Selinker is a Seattle-based puzzle and game designer, and president of the design studio Lone Shark Games. He had his first puzzle, an acrostic made entirely of six-letter words, published in GAMES Four-Star Puzzler at the age of 13, and has been making puzzles at a steady clip ever since. His puzzles appear in GAMES, the New York Times, Wired, the Chicago Tribune, and the JT News, as well as on the 10-foot crossword wall at Seattle’s Eltana restaurant.

Mike’s games include Risk Godstorm, Axis & Allies Revised, Unspeakable Words, Pirates of the Spanish Main, Key Largo, and Lords of Vegas. Mike is the author of several nonfiction books on games and puzzles, including Puzzlecraft: The Ultimate Guide on How to Construct Every Kind of Puzzle.
